• As a Hosting Product Specialist with Directi's retail brands, you are a custodian of our customers' continued trust in us for their critical application, email and web hosting needs. 
• In this role, you will be the first point of contact with our client base, and be responsible for ensuring the speedy investigation, resolution and escalation of technical issues for our various hosting products.

1. Being the front line for customers over email support tickets as part of 24*7 rotating shifts
2. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to our hosting products.
3. Investigating and identifying solutions to various kinds of technical issues spanning DNS, Apache, IIS, Email servers, Hosting control panels, Application firewalls and associated technologies.
4. Escalating complex system-wide issues or bugs to L2 support and software engineering teams
5. Ensuring speedy resolution of customer issues while maintaining high customer satisfaction
6. Reviewing existing product documentation and publishing documentation in internal & external knowledge bases 
7. Pro-actively monitor product/services/site performance, uptime, availability and analyze logs / metrics and recommend/contribute to fixes.

• Working knowledge of Operating systems - Redhat based linux flavours & Windows 2003/2008 server
• Linux skills - Basic server administration with knowledge of commands like top, ps, netstat, etc.
• Fundamentals :- Excellent DNS and networking fundamentals. TCP/IP
• Application protocols :- Working knowledge of SMTP, HTTP, FTP, IMAP, POP.
• Control panels :- cPanel, Plesk, Virtuozzo
• Web and database servers :- Apache, IIS, MySQL, MSSQL.
• Soft skills: Strong customer support focus and decent english communication skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
